... The advertising seemed to suggest that Central Texas Shredding just covered the greater Austin area, but they do on-site shredding in San Antonio as well. We had 40+ tubs of papers, mostly from my husband's business, and needed to have them securely shredded. Todd McDermott showed up with his shredding truck exactly when scheduled, and within 40 minutes or so, everything was shredded on site while we watched. In this case, the process is the product, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Todd was a pleasure to deal with, and the price from this local company was much less than what was quoted by the "national" shredding services. ... I had contacted another shredding company to dispose of 14 boxes of company files remaining from my brother's estate. They contained significant amounts of personal information and I wanted to make sure they were properly disposed of. After that company re-scheduled several times, I got a bit fed up and decided to contact Central Texas Shredding Inc. Tim quickly responded to my e-mail and gave me a quote for the shredding, which was lower than the "other" company. After exchanging another couple of e-mails, we had set a date and time. Tim showed up (on time) in his new shredding truck and the entire process only took about 10 minutes. Tim arrived wearing a Covid face covering and was very professional. We chatted while the paper was going through the shredder (there is a camera and screen so you can see your files actually being shredded!) and I found out Tim has been in the security business for a long time as an owner and employee before returning to Austin to start Central Texas Shredding, so I felt I had chosen the right company! So, if you need shredding done, whether a few boxes like me or a large company I feel Central Texas Shredding is the right choice!read more
